Broadcom can realize high-performance storage connectivity and flexibility. It supports the system design of any combination of NVMe, SAS and SATA. It has the industry's first HBA with the third mock examination SerDes. The third mock examination HBAs extend Broadcom's industry-leading 12Gb/s SAS HBA family with 8 and 16 port internal, external, and combined the third mock examination port options.
NVMe performance improvement for storage
The third mock examination storage HBA brings performance advantages to NVMe. The storage layer has provided SAS/SATA interfaces for more than 20 years by providing the connectivity and data protection that HBAs have. Based on a single core SAS3516, SAS3416, or SAS3408 the third mock examination storage I/O controller (IOC), these HBAs provide bandwidth and IOPS performance improvements. Compared with the previous generation of products, these HBAs are ideal for high-end servers to use internal storage or connect to large-scale external storage enclosures.
Unlimited design flexibility using the third mock examination controllers
Broadcom Tri Mode SerDes technology enables NVMe operation, SAS or SATA storage devices in a single drive bay. A single controller can be an NVMe, SAS, or SATA drive in all three modes simultaneously. The controller negotiates between speed and protocol and seamlessly collaborates with any of the three types of storage devices. TriMode support provides a non disruptive way to develop existing data center infrastructure. By upgrading to the third mock examination HBAs, users can expand beyond SAS/SATA and use NVMe without making major configuration changes to other systems.
