The Broadcom SAS 9207-8e host bus adapter provides high-performance connectivity to large storage enclosures for 1U/2U mid to high end servers. The SAS 9207-8e provides 8 channels of 6Gb/s SAS that match the performance of 8-channel PCI Express (PCIe) 3.0 and 8Gb/s. The performance is based on the SAS 2308 6Gb/s SAS IO controller, highly integrated with the latest enhanced features in PCIe and SAS technology.
The SAS 9207-8e features two (x4) external micro SAS connectors (SFF8088) and offers SAS and SATA data transfer rates of 1.5, 3, and 6Gb/s per channel, achieving over 650K IOPS.
