MegaRAID CacheVault technology
MegaRAID CacheVault flash protection uses NAND flash memory powered by supercapacitors to help protect data stored in the MegaRAID controller cache. This module eliminates the need for lithium ion batteries traditionally used to protect DRAM cache on PCI RAID controllers. When a power failure occurs in the disk array controller, the data in the cache is automatically written to flash memory, while the supercapacitor maintains current during this process. When the power is restored, DRAM is restored from flash memory, and the system continues to operate without losing data. The benefits of this technology eliminate hardware maintenance related to LiON batteries, reduce total cost of ownership throughout the adapter's entire lifecycle, and provide more environmentally friendly cache protection.
MegaRAID CacheCache™ Pro 2.0 and MegaRAID® Fast Path Ready
&Ldquo; CC” The series 6Gb/s MegaRAID controllers come with standard software out of the box, along with CacheCade Pro 2.0 and Fast Path. These software products help optimize application performance in the direct attached storage environment configured with Solid-state drive (SSD). The Cached Cadre Professional 2.0 read/write software aims to significantly improve the application I/O performance of hard drives based on (HDD) arrays by combining frequently accessed data or; Hot Spots; Data is intelligently cached to SSD. Using SSD as a dedicated pool or high-performance cache in front of HDDs cost-effectively improves read and write performance, reduces I/O latency, accelerates application response time, and reduces RAID access and rebuild time. MegaRAID Fast path software is a high-performance I/O accelerator designed to significantly improve the transaction application throughput controller card connected to the SSD array of MegaRAID.

MegaRAID Management Suite™ The software provides basic tools for managing MegaRAID products, whether deployed in enterprises or small businesses. Broadcom offers a range of applications and tools, including pre boot setup utilities and a complete set of online RAID management utilities. This application allows administrators to adjust SAS or SATA topology views and disk enclosures from system hosts, controllers, and up to the logical and physical drive levels. Expanding to enterprise deployment, these tools can be expanded to make it easier to deploy locally or through local area networks.
