SAS-9217-8i

The LSI SAS 9217-8i host bus adapter provides high-performance 1U/2U servers and workstations for internal drive connections. The LSI SAS9217-8i provides 8 6Gb/s SAS channels and is matched with 8-channel PCI Express 3.0 with 8Gb/s performance, eliminating any performance bottlenecks. The performance is based on the LSISAS2308 6Gb/s SAS IO controller, which is highly integrated with the latest PCI Express and SAS technology enhancements.
The LSI SAS 9217-8i has two (x4) internal mini SAS connectors (SFF8087) and provides SAS as well as SATA data transfer rates of 1.5, 3, and 6Gb/s per channel. LSI SAS 9217-8i provides integrated RAID (R0, 1, 10, 1E) support. With simplified configuration options and IR firmware LSI integrated RAID solution supporting 6Gb/s SAS Host adapter, it provides low-cost redundancy suitable for additional performance, storage capacity, and/or RAID configurations.
